The ceiling in this living room was built out by a carpenter to give Hester’s craftsmen the palette to work with for this striking faux finished final appearance.
The steps for this specialty finish:
- Prepare, prime and paint the drywall surface of the ceiling
- Apply one coat of wallpaper prep coat
- Install the owner supplied Embossed Wallpaper
- Prime and paint embossed wallpaper with two coats of a bronze metallic color
- Apply one coat of mottled antique glaze color
- Prepare prime and paint surface of the installed wood framing.
- Apply a faux wood grain to the surface
- Apply one coat of varnish
