This is our inaugural issue for the Hester Painting & Decorating Video Newsletter. We hope you enjoy it. We welcome any feedback because we are planning on producing these regularly going forward.

In this newsletter we celebrate the longevity of our team members staying with our company. We decided providing 10 Year Club logo winter coats was a great way to celebrate our core value of hiring craftsmen with the intention of keeping them working with us until retirement. We are also in the process of developing a gift for everyone who reaches the 25 year club. Stay tuned…

In a recap of our Hester Cares – Charity Paint Program, we completed two new charity projects in 2023. These were done to celebrate our 55th Anniversary in business, and it is our way of being able to give back to the communities that have supported us over our many years in business. Since we started providing these projects for local non-profits, the total donation of services is $197,000, and we look forward to continuing to increase that number with more and more projects to come.

Also, we are very proud to announce and congratulate Nate Scealf for graduating from the JATC apprentice program – officially becoming a journeyman painter.

We always welcome feedback and compliments from our clients. Thankfully we receive many emails throughout the year with raved reviews from our commercial and residential clients. In this video newsletter, we share a few of the wonderful emails that we all love to read. We always share the feedback and compliments with our painters to show them the appreciation and help motivate them to keep up their great workmanship and customer service!

Finally, we wrap up this newsletter with a wonderful story that actually reinforces the topic from the beginning of the newsletter – longevity and keeping our painters on our team. In this issue we celebrate the Auslander family and the fact that we have been lucky enough to have 3 generations of their family members working for us. Louie Auslander was one of the original people that our founder, Tom Hester, hired. His son, Marty Auslander, has been with us for 25 years and now Marty’s son, Ryan Auslander, just started with us as an apprentice. Not only is it rare to have three generations of one family work at any company, but in their case they are also all wallpaper installers, which is a very niche part of our painting industry. We ask Marty and Ryan some questions about their journeys and other interesting aspects of their family working with Hester Painting & Decorating.

Please let us know what you think of the newsletter. We would love to hear from you.
