It has been an exciting week at Hester Painting & Decorating! We found out that we won the Pulse of the City News Customer Satisfaction Award for the second year in a row, and that we are one of the top three finalists for the CREST Award. We are honored and humbled by these distinctions!
Pulse of the City News and The Stirling Center for Excellence joined forces to promote and recognize excellent customer service in the real estate, building and construction fields. They noticed that too often the focus was on excellent design or function, but not on excellent customer experience. Through research, customer feedback and the use of a database of performance information that has been ongoing since 2009, companies are recognized for combining successful customer experience practices with superior build quality. We are thrilled to accept our second Star Award!
CREST stands for Contractors Recognizing Excellence in Safety Training. The Finishing Contractors of America (FCA) International Leadership Council designed these awards to evaluate contractors on key leading and lagging measures of safety. These are metrics associated with safety efforts that cause excellent safety performance and the resulting data that matches the safety performance (i.e.. low injury/illness rates.) For the leading measures, or evaluation of safety effort, the following data is collected:
Years the company has had a written safety program in place
Safety training orientation for all new employees
Employment of a full-time safety representative
Ongoing safety training
Number of employees who have current OSHA 10 or 30 training, which is OSHA’s basic, construction outreach training needed for supervisors
Safety program impact on the company
We will find out if we are the winner of the 2016 CREST Award at the FCA Annual Convention next month in Puerto Rico. Wish us luck!
We’d love your input! What do you think constitutes great customer service or extraordinary safety measures?
