The Molloy Education Center, part of the Niles Township District for Special Education #807, introduced a sensory path on their playground to enhance student engagement, motor skills, and social development.
The path includes interactive elements such as sunflower leaves with numbers, a pond with lily pads, ladybugs, and an alphabetical path.
Jim Guthrie, a Sr. Project Manager at Hester Painting & Decorating, led the project, while Dante Perlata, a talented painter, brought the design to life. The project used Sherwin Williams Moisture Cured Polyurethane Floor Coating for both the vibrant colors and protective clear coat.
A time-lapse video showcases the effort and creativity behind the project, which has been enthusiastically embraced by the students.
